Introducing Ports V

July 11, 2019

Since its debut in March 2018 by Creative Director Milan Vukmirovic, PORTS V has shaped worlds that unite subcultures, through creative streetwear-runway-inspired designs as a tool of self-expression and inclusivity. Bringing its strong subculture-powered persona to life, PORTS V’s diverse product offerings range from thought-provoking, philosophical slogan t-shirts and graphic sweaters, to colourblocked denim and accessories like backpacks, hats, card cases, phone cases, and functional daily essentials.

“The creation of PORTS V is not about a product or a collection per se; it is about the meaning behind the innovative creations – love unites through inclusivity and diversity, seeing past the differences of skin colour, ethnicity and gender,”— PORTS V Creative DirectorMilan Vukmirovic

PORTS V’s vision of youth is a celebration of diversity, romanticism and belonging. Every collection is a poetic dialogue with the wearer an appreciation of a love-centric and carefree youth culture, one that transcends differences in traditions, gender and ethnicities.

Summoning the power of self-expression, PORTS V ponders on the idea that love is what brings us together in today’s dividing society, that we all belong in the same urban tribe.

With only four to six limited edition capsules per year, each collection evokes energy fuelled by rebellion and a cool playful attitude an unapologetic persona that breathes an air of eclecticism in today’s busy fashion world.

Celebrities’ presence

“Ports V celebrates culture in all its forms.”Milan Vukmirovic

Just like its brand mission, the celebration of diversity and mash-up youth culture is prevalent and reflected upon its loyal following of celebrities, artist, and models. PORTS V’s indulgent vision of streetwear meets luxury sportswear dressing has won the hearts of many international stars. Besides a strong on-and-offline brand presence in Asia, the brand’s cool urbanity is spotted across the most influential artist, celebrities and athletes around the world.

The brand’s genderless and ageless key pieces such as its timeless varsity jacket styles and iconic ‘LOVE ONLY’ shirt have been worn and styled by American rapper Jay-Z and 50cent, Chinese top actress Angelababy and singer Joe Jonas at both award shows and off-duty looks.

More preppy old school classics such as the plaid coat have also been a recent favorite of award-winning British actor Nicholas Hoult, where he wore the retro jacket to his latest movie press conference.

More transgressive, streetwear-coded style is seen on NBA basketball star Dwyane Wade and singer Khalid on-stage. Wade effortlessly styled the PORTS V embroidered wool coat with his usual slick urban style.

Actor Chadwick Boseman and singer Nick Jonas were also photographed gracing photo-calls and the streets in the brand’s versatile pieces like the checkered shirt and utility jacket.
